Every painting is reflective of a distinct sentiment, phase, or mood in one’s life; from optimistic and powerful, to vulnerable and solitary, and everything in between. You’ll find, for instance, that Shahi uses the journey that one takes across the river to get to the forest to symbolize the ways in which we reach a desired outcome through struggle, strain and strive. The river is symbolic of the adversity and tribulations that we might face as we swim against the tide, and strive towards an ending.
